Sukabumi – Pelabuhan Ratu Surf and Halimun-Salak Rainforest
Sukabumi se trouve dans la partie sud de West Java province, depuis the Halimun-Salak montagne range to l'océan Indien coast. Its capital is Palabuhanratu. The region is one of Java’s most diverse landscapes: montane rainforests, cascades, surf plages and the geopark Ciletuh Bay. Proximity to Jakarta (approx. 3 hours) makes it a popular weekend destination.

Sundanese culture is strongly present. The Nyi Roro Kidul (Queen of the Southern Sea) legend is tied to Pelabuhan Ratu. Cuisine is Sundanese: nasi liwet, ikan bakar Palabuhanratu (fresh grilled fish), pepes, and local sea shrimp.
