Terraced rice fields around Lemahneundeut and Argapura provide picturesque Sundanese landscapes. Panyaweuyan terraced landscape is Majalengka’s most photographed site. Sundanese culture is defining: kecapi suling (traditional instrument) and jaipong dance are part of cultural life. Cuisine is Sundanese: nasi timbel, karedok (raw vegetable salad in peanut sauce), empal gentong (beef curry).
