Bulukumba – Home of the Pinisi Sailing Ships in South Sulawesi
Bulukumba se situe at the southern tip of South Sulawesi province, on la mer de Flores coast. The region is the birthplace of the mondialement célèbre pinisi ships – these massive wooden sailing vessels are built by Bugis shipwrights following siècles-old tradition, without moderne blueprints, entirely by hand.
