Humbang Hasundutan – Birthplace of the Batak Kings on Lake Toba's Shore

From Medan Kualanamu Airport, approximately 6–7 hours south-west by car. Silangit Airport (Tapanuli) is closer, approximately 1–2 hours. The best time to visit is May to September. Accommodation: simple guesthouses in Doloksanggul and Bakkara.
