Rubber and coffee plantations at the Meratus foothills can be visited. Local mosque architecture (Banjar style) is noteworthy.

Culture and Cuisine

Banjar culture has Islamic roots with a strong trading tradition. Traditional Banjar wedding ceremonies (baantar jujuran) and madihin (rhythmic oral poetry) are local traditions.
