West Tanjung Jabung – River Region and Mangrove Forests
Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency lies in the eastern part of Jambi province, at the mouth of the Batang Hari River. Its capital is Kuala Tungkal. The region is a lowland area with peat swamps, mangrove forests and river communities. Kuala Tungkal is an important fishing town on the Malacca Strait.

Safe but remote region. Medical care limited. Jambi city (approx. 3 hours) more advanced.
