East Nusa Tenggara (Nusa Tenggara Timur) is one of Indonesia's most diverse provinces: the world-famous Komodo Islands dragons, Flores' volcanic lakes, and traditional Flores culture create a unique combination. Where is East Nusa Tenggara?

The province is located in the eastern Lesser Sunda Islands, with the islands of Timor and Flores. Kupang is the capital, on Timor. Labuan Bajo at the western end of Flores is the departure point for the Komodo Islands, reachable by air from Bali and Jakarta.

April–October is the dry season, ideal for Komodo tours and diving. Komodo dragons can be seen year-round. July–August is peak season.
