Sragen – Sangiran Early Man Site and Java Man

The region’s prime attraction is the Sangiran Early Man Site (UNESCO World Heritage), where Homo erectus fossils were found – one of the world’s most important palaeontological sites. “Java Man” was discovered here, fundamentally changing the understanding of human evolution.
