1. Fort Marlborough

Built in 1714, this is Indonesia's largest British colonial fortification. The fort is well-preserved and offers insight into the history of the British East India Company.

2. Rafflesia – The World's Largest Flower

Bengkulu is home to Rafflesia arnoldii, the world's largest flower, which can reach up to 1 meter in diameter. To find the flower, it's best to venture into the jungle with a local guide.

3. Pristine Beaches

Bengkulu's coastline features long black and white sand beaches that are almost entirely untouched by tourism. Long Beach (Pantai Panjang) is the main beach near the city.

4. Thomas Stamford Raffles' Legacy
