    Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a second verification step in addition to your password.

    Why Enable 2FA?

    • Protects your account even if your password is compromised
    • Required for sensitive operations like changing your password
    • Industry-standard security practice

    Setting Up 2FA

    1. Go to Settings in the profile menu in the top right corner
    2. Find the "Two-Factor Authentication" section
    3. Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
    4. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.)
    5. Enter the 6-digit code from your app to verify
    6. Save your backup codes in a safe place

    Using 2FA

After enabling 2FA, every time you sign in, you'll need to:

    1. Enter your email and password as usual
    2. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app

    Backup Codes

When you set up 2FA, you'll receive backup codes. These codes can be used to sign in if you lose access to your authenticator app. Keep them safe!

What If I Lose My Authenticator?

If you lose access to your authenticator app:

    • Use one of your backup codes to sign in
    • Go to Settings and disable 2FA
    • Set up 2FA again with a new authenticator app

    Disabling 2FA

You can disable 2FA at any time in Settings, but you'll need to enter a valid 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm.
